• Tulasi Vivah: The divine marriage of Goddess Tulasi and Lord Shaligram (Vishnu) concludes on Kartik Purnima. Many devotees perform this ritual at home or in temples with traditional marriage ceremonies.
• Bhishma Panchaka Vrat: A five-day fast that begins on Ekadashi and ends on Purnima, observed by Vaishnavas to honor Bhishma Pitamah and attain divine blessings.
• Vaikuntha Chaturdashi: Celebrated a day before Kartik Purnima, when Lord Vishnu worshipped Lord Shiva with a thousand lotus flowers. This day symbolizes Hari-Hara Milan, the union of the preserver and destroyer.
• Kartik Purnima and Dev Diwali: The day of Kartik Purnima also marks the celebration of Dev Diwali, often called the “Diwali of the Gods.” According to sacred texts, Lord Shiva destroyed the demon Tripurasura on this day, restoring peace in the three worlds. Hence, the day is also known as Tripuri Purnima or Tripurari Purnima.

Devotees light thousands of earthen lamps (diyas) on riverbanks and temple premises, especially in Varanasi, turning the city into a glowing sea of devotion. This grand illumination represents the victory of good over evil and the joy of divine liberation.
