Kartik Purnima is considered highly sacred in Hindu tradition. It is said that observing this fast destroys sins, increases virtue, and purifies the soul. The Dvatrimshi Purnima Vrat begins from the full moon of Margashirsha, Magha, or Vaishakha and concludes on the Purnima of Bhadrapada or Pausha.
Devotees worship Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Chandra on this day for divine blessings. Worshipping the full moon (Purnima Chandra) is believed to bring peace, prosperity, and fulfillment of wishes.
