Cloudflare experienced a brief outage that disrupted several online services, including trading platforms such as Zerodha, Angel One, and Groww. Users reported issues logging in, placing orders, and accessing market data as APIs and backend systems relying on Cloudflare struggled to connect. The outage, which affected multiple regions, also impacted websites, fintech services, and enterprise tools dependent on Cloudflare’s network infrastructure. Trading activity was briefly interrupted during market hours, leading to delays and user complaints on social media. Services gradually began to stabilise as Cloudflare initiated fixes, but platforms continued monitoring systems for residual issues.
In addition to the trading platforms, the outage also affects services that rely on Cloudflare like AI Chatbot Claude, Perplexity, MakeMyTrip, etc have also been affected.
Not the first Cloudflare outage
This is the second major Cloudflare outage in recent months. Last month, the Cloudflare outage took almost entire internet down by affecting all the major services where technical faults temporarily took down several unrelated services at once. The last month outage affected platforms like X, ChatGPT, Letterboxd, and even Downdetector, which struggled to load because it also runs on Cloudflare. With Cloudflare powering content delivery, security, and traffic management for a large part of the web, any glitch triggers widespread downtime across global services within minutes.
Services are back online, confirms Cloudflare
Cloudflare said on its official status page that all services are back online after an issue affecting the Dashboard and related APIs. The outage lasted around 12 minutes, with a fix deployed at 09:12 UTC (2:42pm IST). Systems are now under monitoring. The disruption, first reported at 08:56 UTC (2:26pm IST), led to request failures for some users before operations returned to normal.
What is Cloudflare?
Cloudflare supports a large share of the modern internet, handling content delivery, security layers and tools that keep sites running during heavy traffic or cyber attacks. When something breaks, the effects spread quickly across multiple services.
