Salman Khan talks to fans about Sikandar failure

Salman Khan's Sikandar, which was expected to be a major hit, did not resonate with audiences, leaving fans disappointed. In response, the superstar took a unique and personal approach to address their concerns.

According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, the actor invited a group of fans to his residence, Galaxy Apartments, for an open conversation.

The gathering included Salman, his manager Jordy Patel, business head Vikram Tanwar, and a group of fans who voiced their grievances about the film's underwhelming performance.

A source quoted by the news outlet shared, "The fans openly voiced their displeasure about Sikandar and how his recent films have not been up to the mark. They also showed their trends on X and how they have been incessantly tweeting as they care for him big time and want him to make better choices."

The actor was reportedly moved by the love and concern shown by his fans. He admitted that he had sensed something was wrong with Sikandar from the beginning and acknowledged that it did not meet the standard expected of a big film. Nevertheless, he assured his fans that he would focus on projects that would make them happy in the future.

Fans also expressed their disappointment not only with the film's content but with its marketing campaign, which they felt was lacklustre.

They further voiced their concerns about tweets from Sajid Nadiadwala’s wife, Wardha Nadiadwala, which they felt were disrespectful. The fans even urged Salman to collaborate with directors like Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan, who they believe bring out the best in him.

The source went on to say, "Salman Khan promised to take all these aspects into consideration. The meeting lasted for an hour. It's unprecedented to see a star of this stature meeting the fans in this manner and listening to their woes."

With his sincerity and commitment to learning from his fans’ feedback, there is little doubt that Salman Khan will bounce back with even bigger successes in the near future.

Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, and others. Released on March 30, 2025, the film has earned Rs 102.25 crore in India within eight days, and nears Rs 200 crore budget worldwide. Despite the film’s performance, Salman’s undeterred approach and promise to deliver better content suggest a bright future ahead.
