On its 52nd day, the historical epic added Rs 1.30 crore, bringing its India net collection to an astounding Rs 598.50 crore, as per Sacnilk. This places Chhaava just ahead of Stree 2, which grossed Rs 597.99 crore over its lifetime, cementing its position among the top earners in Indian cinema.
A captivating portrayal of Maratha history, Chhaava tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s life and legacy, with Vicky Kaushal delivering a career-defining performance. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film seamlessly blends emotion, valour, and grandeur, striking a chord with audiences across the country. The ensemble cast features Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Viineet Kumar Siingh in significant roles.
Chhaava has not only captivated domestic audiences but also achieved a remarkable worldwide gross of Rs 802.45 crore, with Rs 91 crore coming from overseas markets and Rs 711.45 crore from India alone.
The film’s exceptional box office run has placed it alongside the elite ranks of Indian blockbusters, just behind Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Rs 640.25 crore), Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 646.31 crore), RRR (₹782.2 crore), KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 859.7 crore), Baahubali 2 (Rs 1030.42 crore), and the all-time record holder, Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 (Rs 1234.1 crore).
What sets Chhaava apart is its impressive India net collection of Rs 598.62 crore, highlighting its strong domestic appeal. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy considering the film's modest budget when compared to the extravagant productions of films like RRR, Kalki, Jawan, and Pushpa 2.
