Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's elder sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has impressed all with her appearance in the hit Netflix show Fabulous Lives Vs. Bollywood Wives Season 3. Riddhima, along with Shalini Passi and Kalyani Saha, joined OG Bollywood wives Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey, and Seema Sajdeh in this season.

In an exclusive conversation with Money Control, Riddhima clarified on her statement that her brother and actor Ranbir Kapoor made on the first episode of the show that his sister looked down upon Bollywood. To this, Riddhima told us, 'Bollywood ko main kabhi bhi look down nahi kiya tha, and that her choice was thoda hatke.'

"Bollywood ko maine kabhi look down nahi kiya tha. From what I know, it is a fact that when we were kids, younger, I used to love horror as the genre. So each time Ranbir wanted to watch a movie, I would always tell him horror movie lagate hain. So I've always loved that horror film. So our genres are very different. I never looked down upon Bollywood at all, ever. I watch every film. From school. Hum ghar aatey they from school, and we would just keep our bags, and then we used to put a movie on. So it was like for me. Meri taste thodi hatke thi," she said.

In the first episode of the show her brother and actor Ranbir, said 'Riddhima is doing a reality series. It’s not even dawned upon me. I don’t know, I think I had mixed feelings about it. All her life, she looked down upon movies." Hearing this, Riddhima Kapoor completely denied her brother's statement whereas mom Neetu Kapoor agreed with Ranbir.

Riddhima also spoke about her daughter Samara's reaction to the show. She said Samara would skip her appearance in the show and that her daughter loves to be a part of showbiz, but she is too young for it to decide.

"Samara was only literally skipping on to her scenes. And then she put it in a story. She was very excited. I'm taking it too soon now because she changes her mind and says, No, mama, I wanna be this, that. So she is just 13, you know; may be she changes her mind," she added.

Alia Bhatt is loving the show

Riddhima's sister-in-law and actress Alia Bhatt has also binge-watched the show. When we asked her about Alia's reaction, Riddhima said, "She's loving it. She's enjoying it. They are all enjoying it. They are all enjoying it."

Celebrated actor Alia Bhatt is married to Riddhima's younger brother, Ranbir Kapoor. The two had tied the knot in 2022 and have a daughter, Raha Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Riddhima Kapoor is married to businessman Bharat Sahni, and she is living in Delhi with her husband and daughter Samara. Riddhima is the daughter of veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.

Talking about the reaction to her Bollywood debut, Riddhima said she has been getting immense love for the show.

"I won't lie. I've been actually receiving so much love and so many messages—literally an outpour of love and seriously overwhelmed with everything that's happening around me, you know, literally overwhelmed. And, I guess everyone's journey somewhere is unique to them, and it just happened for me. And then when Karan asked me, I was like, yeah. Let's just give it a shot very casually. I was like, But, it was wonderful working with both these wonderful, beautiful women, very strong as well, and they were just amazing throughout the process and, of course, the Bollywood Wives as well, you know, and have to give them credit," she added.

How Karan convinced her to do Bollywood Wives Season 3

Talking about how Karan Johar convinced her for the show, Riddhima said Karan saw a 'spunk' in her; otherwise, she is a very simple girl.

"I'm a very simple girl. I'm doing simple things. Initially, I was like, What interest will anyone have in, like, what I'm doing? You know? Literally, I'm not an actor. But then Karan (Johar) was like, You don't know. You may bring that spunk out. And, Shalini, you can rock."
