Mukesh Bhatt didn't get invited to Alia Bhatt wedding

Producer and actor Mukesh Bhatt, brother of Mahesh Bhatt and Alia Bhatt’s uncle, has recently reflected on his strained bond with his brother’s family. Mukesh Bhatt revealed that he was not even invited to Alia Bhatt’s wedding.

In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Mukesh Bhatt discussed how their tense business relationship has affected the family emotionally.

He opened up about the emotional toll of missing his niece's big day and shared, "I will be a hypocrite if I say I didn't feel bad. Of course, I felt bad. I love Alia a lot and not just her, even Shaheen. So when she got married, I thought meri bachi ki shadi hai (my daughter is getting married). I was very much wanting to be there."

Mukesh insisted that his feelings for Alia were still tender and unaltered in spite of his absence.

Raha Kapoor, the daughter of Alia and Ranbir Kapoor, turned three this year, and Mukesh revealed that he has not yet met her.

The veteran film producer shared, "When I got to know that Alia is pregnant and then she had a baby, meri aankhein taras gayi Raha ko dekhne ke liye (My eyes yearn to see Raha). I love kids a lot."

He did admit, though, that he decided against reaching out because he was worried his niece might feel uncomfortable.

Mukesh Bhatt elaborated, "I didn't even try because I didn't want to put her in a position of discomfort. I didn't want to put her in a position where she had to see how will her father feel if I come and meet her.”

Despite not communicating directly, he admitted that e always had his blessings with her, adding, "Maine dil se dua de di (I blessed them from my heart).”
