Revathi Kamath, mother of Zerodha co-founders Nithin and Nikhil Kamath, recently offered a rare glimpse into her sons’ early years through a series of old photographs shared online. The pictures, compiled into a video, show the brothers as toddlers in their mother’s arms, at birthday parties, and during family vacations—long before they became the faces of India’s largest online trading platform.

Captioned simply "My sons," the video also showed the Kamath brothers flaunting their medals and trophies when in school.

Reacting to it, a Facebook user wrote: "Really proud of your very caring and genius sons. God bless you and your family members, dear Revathi." Another user lauded the "Proud mother".

A mother’s reflection on success and love

In a previous Facebook post that went viral, Revathi shared two photographs of her elder son, Nithin—one from his childhood and one recent—captioned with a heartfelt note: “My son Nithin Kamath!! My life actually started with him, and I lived my life for him, and he always makes sure of getting me the world’s best things! I wish all sons of this world take care of their mothers the way my sons take care of me!”

Speaking about her younger son, Nikhil, she reflected on the enduring nature of maternal love:
“Whatever height our children go, for mothers, they will always remain babies only. A major part of a mother’s brain will always be occupied with her children and grandchildren. That is why no one can replace a mother.”

Empowering homemakers

In a recent update, Revathi opened up about years of self-doubt, describing how she once believed her only role was managing the home and raising her children. She urged women to recognise their talents and step out with confidence, crediting her ability to speak on camera as a trait her son Nikhil inherited.

“In recent days, people started noticing me, and yes, many women will end their lives without recognising their talent and sacrificing their lives for family!! I am little bit lucky!! I want all women who are living life for family also to think of their own talents and capacities!!!” she wrote.
