Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and SS Rajamouli have also praised the arrest of iBomma founder Immadhi Ravi, calling it a major step forward in the battle against film piracy.

Actors Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, along with filmmaker SS Rajamouli and producer Dil Raju, met Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Monday evening to personally thank him for the arrest of Immadi Ravi, the man behind the piracy website iBomma.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Chiranjeevi expressed deep frustration over how piracy has repeatedly hurt the Telugu film industry.

He pointed out that several major films — including Game Changer, OG, Kingdom, Thandel, and HIT: The Third Case — suffered significant box-office damage because they were leaked online.

“At the beginning of the year, Dil Raju’s Game Changer, or throughout the year, Kingdom, Thandel, and OG, all these films faced severe losses at the box office due to this man,” he said.

Chiranjeevi added that even as SS Rajamouli sets out to create a global-scale film like Varanasi with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, piracy remains one of the biggest roadblocks. He thanked the police for acting swiftly and understanding the gravity of the issue.

The chain of events began on June 5, 2025, when the Anti-Video Piracy Cell of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce filed a complaint after Nani’s HIT: The Third Case and Sree Vishnu’s #Single leaked online on release day. A similar leak of Kuberaa prompted another complaint, kicking off a detailed investigation.

Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and SS Rajamouli have also praised the arrest of iBomma founder Immadhi Ravi, calling it a major step forward in the battle against film piracy. The three met Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Monday to personally thank the police for their decisive action against the iBomma piracy network.

Last Friday, Hyderabad police arrested Immadi Ravi, identified as a key operator of the iBomma site and responsible for uploading pirated Telugu films and OTT content. His arrest follows an earlier crackdown in which five others connected to the piracy network were taken into custody.
