Ranbir Kapoor recently attended the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to honour Raj Kapoor ahead of his 100th birth anniversary on December 14. During a conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail, he revealed the first song that he made his daughter Raha Kapoor listen for the first time.
While taking about his grandfather Raj Kapoor's famous song Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar, Ranbir shared that it was the first song that he made Raha listen to. He said, "That (song) is my anthem, my favourite song. The first song that I made my daughter Raha listen, Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar. If you just simply listen to the wordings of the song, its so simple and definitely a great philosophy to live by."
The timeless classic Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar hails from Raj Kapoor's 1959 film Anari. Performed by the legendary Mukesh, with music composed by Shankar-Jaikishan, the song remains a cherished favorite, continuing to resonate with audiences even decades later.
The Brahmāstra actor also revealed on Sunday that a special film festival honoring the legacy of his grandfather, legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor, will take place nationwide in December. The event marks the celebration of Raj Kapoor's birth centenary and will feature restored versions of his iconic movies.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana and Sanjay Leela Bhasali's Love and War in which he will be starring alongside his wife Alia Bhatt and actor Vicky Kaushal.
