Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his versatility, has signed on for a new project with director Anand Surapur. This follows their successful collaboration in the crime thriller 'Rautu Ka Raaz,' where Nawaz played a cop.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's upcoming project with director Anand Surapur is set amidst the stunning beauty of Uttarakhand. This mystery film promises to be a thrilling addition to Siddiqui's filmography. The director, known for pushing boundaries with "Rautu Ka Raaz," is expected to delve into uncharted storytelling territory. Leveraging Siddiqui's exceptional talent for portraying intricate characters, the collaboration anticipates a captivating narrative that seamlessly blends suspense with the region's unique charm.
Talking about the project, the director said, “After Rautu Ka Raaz was well-received, Nawaz bhai called me up and told me, ‘Let’s do the other film as well, the mystery one set in Uttarakhand’ (the director had narrated the idea to the actor earlier). He has even given us dates to shoot in December.”
Nawazuddin's latest release Rautu ka Raaz released on ZEE5 on June 28. He played the role of an insomniac inspector posted in a sleepy village in the movie. Rautu ka Raaz, along with being a murder mystery, also offered a different model for how to treat the disabled in our mainstream films in India. The cast includes several actors like Atul Tiwari, Narayani Shastri and Rajesh Kumar in major roles.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's busy schedule extends beyond this upcoming project. He has a captivating slate of films on the horizon, including "Oil Kumar," "Adbhut," "Noorani Chehra," and "Sangeen."
