Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar along with veteran actor Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandes, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and Fardeen Khan were in Pune for the promotions of their upcoming movie 'Housefull 5.'
Going by the videos being shared online, there was a huge crowd including women and children, who emerged at the mall to see their favourite actors.
The situation soon looked to be going out of control and that's when Akshay decided to intervene and appealed to the overly exuberant crowd to settle down.
The mall was jam-packed with people, from the event zone to the top floors and hallways. Several recordings showed young kids and women in tears, as those at the rear pushed and shoved for a better view.
In a video, Akshay is seen appealing to and requesting the fans to not cause chaos and stay calm. "Dhaka dhukki mat kariye, please." Haath jod ke vinanti karta hoon, ya auratein, bacche hai...Please don't push anyone," Akshay pleaded with folded hands.
After the audience calmed down, the Housefull 5 crew resumed the event.
Akshay asked Nana Patekar to do the Phugadi step from their hit song in the movie. The ladies of the movie Jacqueline, Sonam, and Soundarya Sharma also joined for the promotions and shook a leg on their hit songs from Housefull 5.
Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is a comedy of errors and murder mystery set aboard a luxury cruise ship.
