Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Renukaswamy murder case, after his bail was cancelled by Supreme Court. Despite his legal troubles, the much-awaited song ‘Idre Nemmadiyag Irbak’ from his upcoming film The Devil is finally set for release.
Originally, the song was scheduled to be unveiled earlier this year. However, just a day before its planned release, Darshan’s bail was cancelled by the SC and he was sent back to jail, forcing the makers to postpone the launch.
Now, after weeks of uncertainty, the official release date has been locked. The first song of The Devil will be released on Sunday, August 24, at 10:05 am.
Darshan’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, confirmed the update and revealed that she will be personally managing her husband’s social media handles to keep fans informed about the movie’s progress.

The film, made on a budget of around Rs 40 crore, has faced multiple delays due to Darshan’s legal challenges. After securing bail earlier, the actor had been shooting for the project in Rajasthan to make up for lost time.
But the film’s release schedule has remained uncertain, leaving fans and the industry speculating.
While the release date of The Devil still undecided, the launch of its first song is being seen as a positive step forward for the makers.
With Vijayalakshmi taking charge of updates, anticipation around The Devil is once again on the rise.
Whether the movie manages to hit theatres this year will depend on how events unfold in Darshan’s legal battle.
