BMW India has launched the '50 Jahre' editions of the BMW 330Li M Sport (Long Wheelbase) and BMW M340i to mark the 50th anniversary of the 3 Series. Both models are manufactured at the company's Chennai plant and will be limited to 50 units each, sold exclusively via the BMW Online Shop.
The BMW 330Li M Sport '50 Jahre' edition is priced at Rs 64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the BMW M340i '50 Jahre' Edition carries a price tag of Rs 76.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Each car features a laser-engraved '1/50' insignia denoting exclusivity. Buyers of the M340i also receive a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL as a commemorative token.
BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre edition
The 330Li M Sport special edition introduces a darker exterior finish with BMW's M high-gloss shadowline on the grille, window surrounds, diffuser and tailpipes. Adaptive LED headlights and 18-inch alloys are standard. Inside, the cabin is fitted with carbon-fibre trims, a BMW widescreen curved display, a head-up display with 3D augmented view, electrically adjustable comfort seats with extendable thigh support, and a panoramic sunroof. Upholstery is finished in Vernasca leather, with Cognac and Black options. The car also runs BMW's operating system 8.5 with an intelligent personal assistant. A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 258hp and 400Nm powers the sedan, enabling a 0-100kmph sprint in 6.2 seconds.
BMW M340i 50 Jahre edition
The M340i '50 Jahre' edition receives distinctive commemorative emblems on the grille, tailgate and wheel hubcaps, blacked-out M badges and gloss black rear lettering. It drives on 19-inch Jet Black alloys with red M Sport brakes and adds a rear spoiler along with shadowline headlights. Inside, it gets sport seats finished in Vernasca leather with M stitching, a red 12-o'clock steering marker, carbon-fibre interior trim, and Anthracite headliner. Performance comes from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine developing 374hp and 500Nm, paired with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. The sedan does 0-100kmph in 4.4 seconds and is equipped with an M Sport rear differential, M Sport suspension lowered by 10mm and M Sport exhaust.

BMW noted that the 3 Series, now in its seventh generation, remains one of its most successful global models. The company said the '50 Jahre' editions are aimed at celebrating five decades of the sedan's legacy and offering Indian customers a limited-run collector's choice.
