The Apache RTX marks the entry of TVS into the adventure rally tourer segment.

TVS Motor Company has entered the adventure rally tourer motorcycle segment with the launch of the all-new Apache RTX, priced at an introductory Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model marks the debut of the company's next-generation RT-XD4 engine platform.

The Apache RTX is powered by a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke DOHC engine producing 36PS of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, fuel injection system, and assist-and-slipper clutch. The motorcycle uses a steel trellis frame and comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle and a bi-directional quickshifter.

TVS said the RTX combines "race-honed performance with long-touring comfort", drawing from the Apache brand's two-decade racing legacy and its six-million-strong global rider community. The model blends performance, refinement, and precision engineering to serve both highway riders and off-road enthusiasts.

According to the company, the new RT-XD4 platform has been designed and developed entirely in-house using its racing and rally experience. The engine features dual overhead cams, dual oil pumps, a dual cooling jacket cylinder head, and a dual breather system aimed at improving performance, lubrication, and thermal efficiency. It also supports ethanol-blended fuels and offers reduced emissions and higher reliability.

The motorcycle includes four ride modes -- Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally -- that adjust engine response, traction control, and ABS for different terrains. It is fitted with a five-inch TFT cluster offering Bluetooth connectivity and map mirroring, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, linear traction control, and adjustable levers.

Suspension duties are handled by long-travel WP units, with an inverted cartridge fork at the front and a mono-tube floating piston (MFP) shock absorber at the rear. TVS said the setup improves rigidity, damping, and comfort across uneven surfaces. The bike’s rally-inspired ergonomics feature a low seat height, balanced rider triangle, and even weight distribution to ensure stability and control on both tarmac and trails.

Five colour options are available -- Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze -- accented by signature Apache Red detailing. Design elements include a mono-volume silhouette integrating tank and headlamp, muscular rally-inspired lines, and a Class-D headlamp with dynamic DRLs, tail-lamp blades, and speed-linked intensity control.

The Apache RTX also offers a range of accessories such as raised front beak, bash plate, tank and knuckle guards, rear hugger fender, USB charger, and modular mounts for guards and luggage. Touring-ready panniers and a top box from GIVI are available through a quick-release Monolock system.

Speaking at the launch, Gaurav Gupta, President - Two-wheeler India Business, said: "At TVS Motor Company, we are constantly understanding evolving customer needs, not just to participate in them, but to redefine. We are frontrunners in many industry-first innovations. Our endeavour is to bring aspiration within reach and inspire new riders. TVS Apache has done this for two decades by redefining performance motorcycling. It is now a global community of over six million riders. We expect the TVS Apache RTX to continue this winning streak and bring renewed spirit and new energy to the adventure rally tourer segment."

The company's Premium Business Head Vimal Sumbly said: "TVS Apache has continually pushed the envelope in design, technology, and performance, powered by the trust and passion of over 6 million riders across the world, over two decades. With the all-new TVS Apache RTX, we are proud to introduce a new kind of motorcycle that takes this legacy into the world of adventure touring."

TVS said the Apache RTX will be available in three variants across its dealerships, expanding the company's premium motorcycle portfolio and marking its entry into the growing adventure motorcycling space.

The following are the variant-wise TVS Apache RTX prices (ex-showroom, introductory).

Base Variant - Rs 1.99 lakh
