Patna, Bihar: On NDA's press conference, Congress leader Pawan Khera says, "Their press conference ended in 30 seconds. Tell me, have you ever heard something like this before? The chief minister, who is their face, is not allowed to speak. What is the reason why Nitish Kumar is being insulted time and again? Do they fear that they have nothing to show in their report card? What is the matter that Nitish Kumar is not allowed to speak?"

Addressing rallies in Siwan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the opposition, warning against the return of "mafia rule." Referring to RJD candidate and Shahabuddin's son, he said, "A mafia is once again trying to take control in Raghunathpur. In Uttar Pradesh, we have crushed such mafias under bulldozers and opened the gates of hell for them."

Highlighting his government's record on law and order, Yogi added, "Ab Uttar Pradesh mein danga nahi, sab changa hai (Now, there are no riots in UP - everything is fine)."

He emphasized that under the NDA, Uttar Pradesh had ended the era of mafia and communal violence. "In the last eight and a half years, not a single riot has taken place. Those who even attempted to spark unrest were jailed, and their properties were seized to build houses for the poor," he said.

Calling for continuity of the NDA government in Bihar, Yogi stated, "For a developed India, we need a developed Bihar - and that is possible only under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar and the guidance of PM Modi."

Three public rallies of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have been scheduled in Bihar today. He will hold election meetings in Siwan, Lalganj, and Agiaon.

Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav criticised the NDA's joint poll manifesto for the Bihar elections, questioning its credibility and recalling earlier unfulfilled promises. He said, "They should look at their manifesto. When I came among you, I was stuck in traffic for half an hour. Remember when their first manifesto was released in Goa? They promised to build new, smart cities - but what's the reality today? They're now promising 1 crore jobs in Bihar, but earlier they promised 2 crore jobs nationwide. Where are those jobs? They pledged to double farmers' income - where is that? And now we hear about tariff pressures from the US, with reports suggesting the Indian government has internally accepted American demands to open the textile and dairy sectors. It seems the BJP government has bowed to that pressure."

RLM national president Upendra Kushwaha said the NDA has collectively reaffirmed its commitment to taking Bihar forward. "We are working for all sections of society and will continue to do so. 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' has always been our guiding principle, and with that same resolve, we will move Bihar ahead," he said.

Speaking on the Bihar elections, Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed criticized the Prime Minister, asking why he doesn't talk about his government's work for Bihar. She said, "We will do it when we come to power - we're going to provide 200 units of free electricity. Why did they suddenly give women ₹10,000 to start businesses at the last minute? They could have done this long ago, just like they could have offered free electricity earlier. Instead of blaming others, the Prime Minister should introspect and ask why Bihar remains one of the most backward states even after nearly 20 years of his rule."

Bhojpuri singer, actor, and now RJD leader Khesari Lal Yadav said he has entered politics not for fame or position but with a commitment to solving the problems of Chhapra and its people at the grassroots level. "The trust that the people of Chhapra have placed in me motivates me to use my abilities and strength to bring real change. I will work towards resolving all the issues faced by the people here," he said.

Amit Shah is scheduled to address four election rallies in Bihar today. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will hold two campaign meetings and addresses in Motihari, while Tejashwi Yadav is set to address public gatherings in Madhepura, Darbhanga, and Muzaffarpur.

Bihar Elections Live: JP Nadda, Nitish Kumar release NDA's 'Sankalp Patra'

BJP chief JP Nadda, CM Nitish Kumar, Union Minister-HAM(S) Custodian Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister-LJP(RV) Chief Chirag Paswan, RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha and others jointly released NDA's 'Sankalp Patra' (manifesto) in Patna.

Singer-actor and RJD leader Khesari Lal Yadav says, "...The trust that the people of Chapra have placed in me, I will try to do whatever I can with my skills and strength, whatever problems Chapra has... our effort will be to raise the standard of education, make the hospital system better than other cities... and take Chapra in a better direction... For those who work, the place or the government doesn't matter..."

Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan on Thursday accused Congress of mistreating Biharis, alleging that its leaders "clap" when Biharis are "abused" in other states.

The LJP (Ram Vilas) chief was in Chhapra to participate in campaigning for the NDA in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

Speaking to ANI, Paswan said, "The reason I entered politics was the way Biharis are insulted in other states. The way even the word "Bihari" was turned into an abuse, and sadly, all the ruling parties are in this situation. The Prime Minister mentioned how the Congress Chief Minister of Punjab, in the presence of a member of the Gandhi family, was threatening Biharis not to enter Punjab, while Congress members were applauding. All this shows that when Congress treats Biharis in Telangana in this manner, how can they come to Bihar to seek votes? Rather, the public should ask, When your party's Chief Ministers abuse Biharis in other states, these people clap, and the same Congress leaders come here."

A case has been filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur over his remarks targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The complaint, lodged by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on Thursday, cites Gandhi’s comments at a rally in Sakra. During the speech, Gandhi had alleged that Modi would “do anything for votes, even dance.” The court has listed the matter for hearing on November 11.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav's close aide, Dularchand Yadav, was shot dead on Thursday in Mokama while campaigning for Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party (JSP).

During the election campaign for Jan Suraaj candidate Piyush Priyadarshi, a violent clash broke out between two groups. In the scuffle, Dularchand was shot in the chest and died on the spot. Read more

Asserting that Bihar election is not about "making anyone an MLA or a minister", home minister Amit Shah said that it is about stopping the "jungle raj" and chief minister Nitish Kumar reined in "lawlessness" and ended the terror of Lalu ji."

Shah, addressing a gathering in Hilsa, Nalanda, said that NDA government will oust every infiltrator from Bihar.

"Nalanda has seen 'jungle raj'. During the Lalu-Rabri rule, there were 38 massacres across Bihar. In 20 years, during Nitish Kumar's rule, not even one massacre occurred. In Nalanda too, several people were killed; kidnappings, extortion, murders and several other unlawful activities used to take place here. Nitish babu, 'sushashan babu' reined in all these and ended the terror of Lalu ji... These elections are not about making anyone an MLA or a minister. These elections are about stopping the 'jungle raj' which will come by changing its form," he said.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has been announced the chief ministerial face for Mahagathbandhan while Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani has been named the deputy CM nominee.

-'Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran' -- rolled out by the Mahagathbandhan -- promises to pass a law within 20 days of forming government, to provide government jobs to one member of every family in the state.

-According to the manifesto, under the 'Mai-Behin Maan Yojana', women will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month from December 1 for the next five years.

-The Opposition's alliance promised to implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). OPS has been on the Congress agenda as the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government in Himachal Pradesh restored the OPS soon after assuming office. Congress had also included it in its manifesto for the Haryana Assembly polls.

-Mahagathbandhan has promised to put the Waqf (Amendment) Act on hold, and to make the management of Waqf properties "welfare-oriented and transparent".

-The poll promises also include an increase in the current 20 per cent reservation for the Most Backward Classes in Panchayat and Municipal bodies to 30 per cent. For Scheduled Castes (SCs), this limit will be raised from 16 per cent to 20 per cent, and a proportionate increase in reservation for Scheduled Tribes (STs) will also be ensured, the manifesto said.

-As per the manifesto, every family will receive 200 units of free electricity.

-Farmers will be guaranteed the purchase of all crops at the minimum support price, and the Mandi and Market Committee will be revived. Mandis will be opened at the divisional, subdivision, and block levels. The APMC Act will be reinstated.

-The alliance promised that every individual would be provided free health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh under the Jan Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
