According to Bengaluru traffic police, slow-moving traffic was reported in areas like Nagawara.

Bengaluru received rain for the second consecutive day, providing relief to its residents who have been deprived of proper water supply but also resulted in waterlogged roads and traffic congestion.

While many residents welcomed rain after nearly six months, it also exposed civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike's poor monsoon preparedness.

Many areas including Central Business District received rain on Friday afternoon. According to Bengaluru traffic police, slow-moving traffic was reported in areas like Ramamurthy Nagar underpass, Binny Mill Circle, Okalipuram, RR Nagar arch, Kasturinagar, Nagawara near Manyata Tech Park, Chakravarthy Layout, JC Nagar, Jayadeva flyover, and Lowry Junction due to waterlogging.

On May 2, 25 two-wheeler vehicles skidded and resulted in minor accidents on the BDA flyover on Bellari/Sankey Road due to slippery conditions. Following this, traffic police, along with BBMP and BWSSB, on May 3 cleared the area and ensured safe passage for two-wheelers during rain. Vehicles were also skidding near Malleshwaram 18th Cross on May 3.

Traffic police also reported slow-moving traffic due to oil leakage at Mahalakshmi near Yeswantpur. Also, flower pots placed on the KR Puram hanging bridge median were damaged due to rain, obstructing traffic flow.

Further, many areas also reported power outages due to rain. Met department officials have forecasted rain with thunderstorms from May 6 to May 8.
