Bengaluru received rain for the second consecutive day, providing relief to its residents who have been deprived of proper water supply but also resulted in waterlogged roads and traffic congestion.
While many residents welcomed rain after nearly six months, it also exposed civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike's poor monsoon preparedness.

On May 2, 25 two-wheeler vehicles skidded and resulted in minor accidents on the BDA flyover on Bellari/Sankey Road due to slippery conditions. Vehicles were also skidding near Malleshwaram 18th Cross on May 3.
Traffic police also reported slow-moving traffic due to oil leakage at Mahalakshmi near Yeswantpur. Also, flower pots placed on the KR Puram hanging bridge median were damaged due to rain, obstructing traffic flow.
