After losing to the Delhi Capitals by six wickets, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faltered to their second straight home defeat in the current IPL 2025 season. With 13 balls remaining, the team captained by Axar Patel managed to chase down 164. RCB had a good chance of winning the match for the majority of the Delhi Capitals' innings. But KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs quickly stole the game away from the hosts in the closing minutes.
Virat Kohli wasn't happy with how the game played out in the final few overs.

A heated and impassioned conversation between Kohli and Dinesh Karthik was observed at the boundary line during the 15th over of the Delhi Capitals' innings, which was delivered by Suyash Sharma.
Kohli was seen pointing to the RCB batting coach, perhaps to express his disapproval of captain Rajat Patidar's field arrangements or the way the bowlers were giving up runs. The conversation between Karthik and Kohli took place just after Josh Hazlewood conceded 22 runs in the 15th over.

“This is an animated conversation with the coach Dinesh Karthik. He has to communicate this with captain Rajat Patidar in the middle. Rajat is the captain of this team. Virat Kohli can have a discussion with Dinesh Karthik. Still, he needs to speak to Patidar,” said Aakash Chopra during the Hindi broadcast of the match.
“I think Virat Kohli is speaking about the last over where Josh Hazlewood conceded 22 runs,” said Virender Sehwag.
Cameras flashed to Kohli's defenseless face after Hazlewood gave up 22 runs in the 15th over. He was upset that the bowling wasn't happening according to the field and the plans. Even though Delhi Capitals were 58/4 at one stage, they were able to restore their position in the match when Liam Livingstone was introduced to the bowling attack.
