IPL 2025 new schedule: League to resume on May 17, final on June 3, find full fixture details with venue

A total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, starting May 17, 2025, and culminating in the final on June 3, 2025.

IPL 2025 new schedule: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the resumption of the IPL 2025. The league will resume from Saturday (May 17) with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

A total of 17 matches will be played across six venues. The final has been pushed to June 3, however, the venues for the playoffs and the season finale is yet to be decided. Meanwhile, the revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on Sundays.

"The decision was announced after extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders," read a statement from BCCI.

May 17 (Saturday), 7:30 pm: RCB vs KKR, Bengaluru

May 18 (Sunday), 3:30 pm: RR vs PBKS, Jaipur

May 18 (Sunday), 7:30 pm: DC vs GT, Delhi

May 19 (Monday), 7:30 pm: LSG vs SRH, Lucknow

May 20 (Tuesday), 7:30 pm: CSK vs RR, Delhi

May 21 (Wednesday), 7:30 pm: MI vs DC, Mumbai

May 22 (Thursday), 7:30 pm: GT vs LSG, Ahmedabad

May 23 (Friday), 7:30 pm: RCB vs SRH, Bengaluru

May 24 (Saturday), 7:30 pm: PBKS vs DC, Jaipur

May 25 (Sunday), 3:30 pm: GT vs CSK, Ahmedabad

May 25 (Sunday), 7:30 pm: SRH vs KKR, Delhi

May 26 (Monday), 7:30 pm: PBKS vs MI, Jaipur

May 27 (Tuesday), 7:30 pm: LSG vs RCB, Lucknow

The playoffs are scheduled as follows:

· Qualifier 1 – May 29

· Eliminator – May 30

· Qualifier 2 – June 1

· Final – June 3 

The league came to an abrupt halt and was later suspended for a week by the BCCI after cross-border tension between India and Pakistan, which threatened to grow into a full fledged war. However, with both countries agreeing to ceasefire, IPL is ready to restart at full throttle but it'll be interesting to keep an eye on big overseas stars, especially the Australian and Proteas. Both teams engage in the World Test Championship final, starting from June 11 at Lord's, London.
