Nominations for the 2024 Oscars will be announced later today, with box office blockbusters "Oppenheimer" and "Barbie" expected to lead the nominations list.
The two vastly different films have been yoked together as "Barbenheimer" since their simultaneous release last summer, and now look set to go head-to-head for some of the biggest prizes at the 96th Academy Awards on March 10. Martin Scorsese's three-and-a-half-hour true crime opus "Killers of the Flower Moon" is also expected to see several nominations, according to news agency AFP.

The Oscar nominations event will take place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California.
It will be streamed live in the UK on ITVX. Viewers in the United States can watch it on ABC's Good Morning America, streamed on ABC News Live and on Disney+.

What time will the livestream begin?
The Oscar nominations will be announced at 8:30 am EST or 5:30 am PST.
This means that in India, the nominations ceremony will begin streaming at 7 pm (1900 IST).
