Tesla founder Elon Musk, who was present at the launch of SpaceX's Starship rocket into space last Saturday, had a reunion with his father Errol Musk after seven years, a report in The Sun said.
Errol and his family watched the Starship launch with 100 other local and international guests from a VIP platform. He got a surprise invite for the launch from son Elon when he was in Austin to spend some time with his daughters. Reportedly, both father and son spoke for a long time after the event. "They spoke for a long time. It was very touching for me and our daughters to see this. We were speechless," Errol's ex-wife Heide Musk said.
She further said that Errol was happy to see Elon and the son reciprocated the feelings and the whole family felt emotional after watching them together after such a long time. "The family cried. It was pretty emotional stuff. Errol was very happy to see Elon, and Elon appeared very happy to see his father. They immediately sat down at Elon's table next to one another and started talking as though no time had passed," Heide said.
The father-son duo had last met in Cape Town, South Africa in 2016 during Errol's 70th birthday celebrations. Both Errol and Elon Musk have had their differences over the years, but put them aside when they met and spoke last Saturday.
