Forgot to buy a gift for your Valentine during the week of love? Dunzo is here to rescue you. Quick commerce platforms have been a go-to option for any last minute needs and since Valentine’s week began on February 7, sale of gift products have been on the rise. Not just that, condoms, unsurprisingly made it to one of the most Dunzo-ed items this week.
Dunzo, in a press release, said that self-care products, chocolates and sexual wellness items saw an average growth of 30 per cent this week.
Roses and chocolates saw a lot of last minute orders and were also among Dunzo’s top selling products. The company said they hit a 100 per cent sale on all the roses they had procured keeping Valentine’s week in mind. Chocolates saw a 25 per cent jump in the week overall on February 9 i.e. Chocolate Day, the sales saw a three-fold increase.
Male grooming products came a close second with a 70 per cent jump in orders this week. Some varieties of condoms and sexual wellness products also saw a 40 per cent jump in orders, Dunzo said.
In Dunzo’s 2022 report of takeaways, Mumbai zoomed past Delhi by ordering three times more condoms and lubricants compared to the national capital last year.
“We optimise our assortment and inventory to give the right choices for our customers. Our strength is curating seasonal and occasion -specific combos and offers that have always struck a chord with our users,” a Dunzo spokesperson said on meeting the demands of specific items this Valentine’s week.
