It’s no surprise to see Masoom Minawala grace the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival year after year. However, she always manages to impress, outdoing her previous appearances.
This time, the celebrity influencer wore an Arpita Mehta creation honouring her Gujarati and Rajasthani roots in a muted gown. Decorated with mirrors and geometric embroidery, it beautifully blended tradition with modern elegance.
Detailing the outfit, Masoom wrote, “Indian Craft to the world. #Cannes2025. A tribute to the craft of my regions – Gujarat and Rajasthan – where ‘Mirrorwork’ or ‘Sheesha’ embroidery has long been more than decoration. It’s protection. Reflection. Celebration.”
She added, “I wanted to take that legacy to the red carpet – not as nostalgia, but as relevance. So I turned to the designer who’s made mirrorwork her signature, blending it with clean, modern silhouettes that speak to today’s woman. Crafted in tones of soft gold and quiet beige, the embroidery speaks in geometry and light.”
Her strapless, dazzling gown may not have had a train, but it came with a matching, floor-grazing sleek dupatta. She accessorised with gold earrings by Valliyan and carried one of their bags in a geometric shape.
Describing it, Masoom shared, “This is echoed in the handcrafted, gold-plated bag that tied the whole look together. The piece draws inspiration from an ancient Indian symbol representative of sacred geometry, and it feels especially meaningful to carry a piece rooted so deeply in Indian culture to a global stage like Cannes – a reminder that craftsmanship can be both material and metaphysical. Minimal. Intentional. Unapologetically rooted.”
With her bag, she added a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch for a modern twist. Her polished bun was also adorned with a mirror hair accessory, complementing her ensemble, while she looked radiant in makeup done in warm, earthy tones.
