The internet doesn’t seem to have taken a liking to Ananya Panday’s recent appearance at the Bads of Bollywood premiere. More than her outfit, it was her mismatched tan that intrigued many social media users, with some hilariously calling her ‘TanAnya’.
Not that the actress can be blamed, considering she has just returned from a holiday in the Maldives. However, the glaring flashlights can be merciless. Netizens still took notice, with some criticising the marked difference between her face, neck, and body colour, while others came to her defence.
A user wrote, “The way the face and body don’t match.” Another commented, “Neither did she sleep well nor her makeup artist.” A third said, “This is not a mistake, it’s a blunder. Looks like the face and body don’t belong to the same person.” Another suggested, “Vacation tan is okay, but why make the face look lighter? An even tone would’ve been so much better.”
While there were those who slammed the look, there were also many who felt it was unfair to comment on her tan. A fan wrote, “The tan looks great tbh, the MUA should have just matched her face to it! She would have looked lit.” One said, “It’s tan… you guys need to take a chill pill.” Many asked the actress not to pay heed to the naysayers.
Ananya’s tan may have divided netizens, but her stunning champagne-hued outfit deserves a mention. Her maxi dress stood out with rhinestone embellishments and sultry details such as an asymmetric, lace-trimmed neckline, open back, and side slit.
Her ensemble was accessorised with crystal sandals by Aquazzura, which added more dazzle to her look, while her earrings and rings added to the sparkle. Blush-pink makeup complemented the outfit, along with her side-swept romantic waves.
Other celebs who attended the Bads of Bollywood screening included Vicky Kaushal, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor, among others.
