Google launches Pixel Upgrade Program in India with annual upgrades starting at Rs 3,333 per month

Google has announced the Pixel Upgrade Program in India, introducing a new financing and upgrade option aimed at making Pixel smartphones more accessible. The programme allows customers to buy select Pixel models on a no-cost EMI plan and upgrade to a newer Pixel after a fixed period, without closing the loan manually.

Under the Pixel Upgrade Program, customers can purchase eligible Pixel smartphones on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan starting at Rs 3,333 per month. After completing a minimum of nine monthly EMI payments, users become eligible to upgrade to a new Pixel model while continuing to pay the same EMI amount.

When a customer opts for an upgrade between the ninth and fifteenth EMI, Cashify credits an amount equal to the remaining loan balance to the customer’s bank account. This enables the existing loan to be closed without pre-closure charges, provided the upgrade is completed within the specified EMI window. The customer is then enrolled into a fresh 24-month no-cost EMI plan for the new Pixel device.

Google has stated that the programme includes an assured buyback, irrespective of the device’s physical condition, as long as the phone powers on and passes basic functional checks.

Eligible Pixel models

At launch, the Pixel Upgrade Program covers Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold smartphones. Customers need to enrol in the programme on the Cashify website within 30 days of purchasing their Pixel device from a participating retail store.

The Pixel Upgrade Program is being rolled out in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance Ltd., and HDFC Bank. It will be available across select retail stores in India and will run until June 30, 2026.

Customers enrolling in the programme are also eligible for an exchange bonus of up to Rs 7,000 from Cashify when trading in an existing device at the time of enrolment.

New Pixel purchases under the programme come with trial subscriptions to Google services. Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold buyers receive one year of Google AI Pro, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium. Pixel 10 buyers get six months of Google One Premium (2TB), six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium.
