Jennifer Aniston was paired up with ‘Abbott Elementary’ star Quinta Brunson for Variety’s ‘Actors On Actors’ series. In the episode, Aniston looked back on her time on ‘Friends’ and the love that the cast has for each other.
The beloved show will be turning 30 years old so Quinta asked her how it feels to watch the show now. Jennifer Aniston found herself tearing up when asked this question.
Aniston, who played Rachel Green on the show, gets emotional while remembering the death of co-star Matthew Perry.
“Oh, god. Don’t make me cry. Sorry, I just started thinking about..no I’m okay. These are happy tears.”
After wiping her tears she continues, “It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old because I remember the day that it was premiered on television, on NBC. Me and Matthew Perry were having lunch somewhere and Lisa was getting her hair coloured so we ran to the hair salon and I snuck up — she was in the sink — and took the nozzle and just started washing her hair. It definitely flew out of control and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had feels like yesterday. The fact that it has had this long and wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts all 6 of us ever could ever imagine.
She called the cast a ‘family forever.’
Another memory that Aniston recalled was of Lisa Kudrow hating the experience of filming in front of a live audience.
“Lisa Kudrow, by the way, hated when the audience laughed. She’d be like, ‘I’m not done! It’s not that funny!’” Aniston joked.
Aniston revealed that to this day the cast of ‘Friends’ have remained friends. It sometimes gets difficult to look back on, but she only has good memories.
