Renowned Telugu director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary, best known for his films Bhai and Yagnam, sadly passed away last night after battling a prolonged illness.

Popular Telugu director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary, known for films like Bhai and Yagnam, passed away last night following a prolonged illness.

He reportedly suffered a heart attack, but it has not been officially confirmed as the cause of death.

He is survived by his wife and children. Reports suggest that he had been living alone for some time. Raj Tarun played the lead in his most recent film, Tiragabadara Swamy.

With Yagnam, starring Gopichand, Ravi Kumar made his Tollywood directing debut and gained a lot of notoriety. He later collaborated with a number of well-known heroes, directing Veerabhadra with Balakrishna and Bhai with Nagarjuna.

In addition, he directed Soukhyam, Aatadistha, and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, which was Sai Dharam Tej's first film.
