Dhanush’s directorial Idli Kadai is ready to make its digital debut after a successful theatrical run. Released on October 1, 2025, the Tamil comedy-drama stars Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran. Known for its heartwarming story and rich performances, the film blends humor with emotion — a mix that has connected well with audiences across Tamil Nadu and beyond.

The digital rights for Idli Kadai have been acquired by Netflix. The film will premiere on October 31, 2025, streaming in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. This multilingual release ensures a broader reach, allowing fans across India and overseas to experience Dhanush’s latest work from home. The four-week gap between theatrical and OTT release reflects the growing hybrid model that many major Tamil films are now adopting.

At the box office, Idli Kadai opened strong, earning Rs 11 crore on day one and crossing Rs 50 crore in India within 18 days. The worldwide total stands at approximately Rs 71.32 crore, with Rs 12.5 crore coming from overseas markets.
