Indian hip-hop star Hanumankind recently made his Coachella debut on April 12. He performed some of his high-energy songs, including Big Dawgs, Run It Up and Go To Sleep. The rapper has created history and become the first Indian hip-hop artist to perform at the festival.
The rapper’s power-packed performance was accompanied by chenda drummers and Houston hip-hop artist Maxo Kream. He made a grand entrance after a high-energy performance by a group of chenda players.
Accompanied by drummer Sange Wangchuk and guitarist Krishna M. Sujith, Hanumankind performed his powerful new song. He also shared with the audience that this was his first time performing a full set in the US.
He has also shared a few glimpses into his Coachella performance on his Instagram Stories. The rapper shared a few clips from his performance, increasing the excitement among the fans. He wrote in the caption, Thank you for having me @coachella,” adding a diamond emoji.
However, the rapper revealed during his performance that he was recovering from a high fever. He told his audience, “That fever’s hitting me hard.”
The stage was designed with inspiration from The Art of War and Hanumankind's roots, created by artist Aaquib Wani. The show featured chenda drummers performing a raw, drum-heavy version of Run It Up, which seamlessly transitioned into the studio version of the song.

Hanumankind will return to the Coachella festival for a second time on April 19, 2025.
Besides Hanumankind, Indo Warehouse, an electronic music act, are also scheduled to perform at Coachella over two weekends. Their set will feature dance, dhol drummers, and special collaborators.
