Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic, Ramayana, is set to be a cinematic spectacle. According to latest reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor will be taking on a double role, portraying not just Lord Ram but also Parashuram, two of the most revered figures in Hindu mythology. This ambitious casting choice adds another layer of anticipation to the highly anticipated project.

Ranbir Kapoor's reported portrayal of Lord Ram and Parashuram, two avatars of Lord Vishnu, in Ramayana will mark a significant milestone in Indian cinema. This ambitious undertaking has generated considerable excitement and anticipation among audiences and industry professionals alike.

After Lord Ram breaks Lord Shiva's divine bow, Parashuram, initially enraged, challenges him to string Vishnu's bow. When Ram succeeds, Parashuram acknowledges him as an incarnation of Vishnu and retires into penance.

Despite Parashuram's brief appearance in the Ramayana, his role is of profound significance. The filmmakers are reportedly dedicated to ensuring that his portrayal in the film accurately captures its importance.

According to a sources, Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Parashuram will be a visual spectacle. The actor is undergoing a significant transformation for the role, and his appearance is expected to surprise and impress audiences.

Reports also suggest that apart from Ranbir Kapoor, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is also part of the project, but in a distinctive and innovative role. Although he won’t be seen on screen, Bachchan will bring to life the divine eagle Jatayu with his legendary voice.

Jatayu plays a pivotal role in the narrative, bravely attempting to save Goddess Sita from Ravana and ultimately sacrificing his life. To make Bachchan’s contribution even more impactful, the filmmakers are employing cutting-edge VFX technology to scan his eyes, ensuring his presence resonates in a uniquely captivating manner.

Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, the film will showcase South Indian sensation Sai Pallavi in the role of Goddess Sita. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. Rakul Preet Singh will take on the role of the menacing Shurpanakha, while Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the iconic TV series Ramayana, will play Dashrath. Additionally, Kunal Kapoor will portray Indra Dev, Harman Baweja will be Vibhishan, and Sonia Balani will appear as Urmila.
