Naga Chaitanya has recently opened up about his relationship with actress Sobhita Dhulipala, shedding light on their journey toward marriage. The couple, who got engaged in August 2024, are set to marry on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a venue with deep sentimental value for Chaitanya's family.
In a heartfelt interview with TOI, Naga Chaitanya shared his excitement and love for Sobhita, revealing the profound connection they share and what this new chapter means to him.
“I am looking forward to starting a new journey with Sobhita and celebrating life together," Naga Chaitanya expressed. "I connect deeply with her, she understands me beautifully and fills a void in me. It’s going to be an amazing journey ahead.”
These words reflect the emotional depth of their bond, with Naga emphasizing how Sobhita’s understanding of him has brought a sense of completeness to his life. The couple, who have been dating for two years, has taken their relationship step by step, and now, with their marriage on the horizon, they are ready to embark on this exciting new phase together.

Despite the public's curiosity about their relationship, both Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita have kept their love story relatively private. It was only after their engagement in August this year that the couple made their relationship official, occasionally sharing glimpses of their vacations and intimate moments.
Naga Chaitanya has been through a highly publicized marriage with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which ended in 2021, and he noted that his relationship with Sobhita feels distinctly different. This new beginning appears to bring him joy and peace, as he spoke of the calmness and clarity Sobhita brings into his life.
The wedding, according to Naga Chaitanya, will be a small, intimate affair, involving only close friends and family.
“The wedding will be held at Annapurna Studios, which has a very special sentiment attached to it. It was a conscious decision by the family to have the wedding there in front of my grandfather’s statue and seek his blessings,” he explained. The venue holds personal significance to the Akkineni family, and having the wedding there is a way of honoring family traditions. This thoughtful gesture reflects the couple's respect for their roots and the importance of family in their lives.
As with any wedding, there are the inevitable nerves, and Naga Chaitanya is no exception.
However, his “butterflies” seem to stem more from the logistics and planning involved than from any uncertainties about the relationship itself. “There is definitely a lot of excitement, butterflies… not much (smiles). Butterflies are only because of the planning and the logistics that are involved on those days, like bringing the guest list together and putting the other details of the wedding together,” he said with a lighthearted chuckle. This shows the grounded and practical approach the couple is taking toward their big day.
Sobhita Dhulipala will wear traditional Andhra weaves for the wedding ceremony, which will follow the customs of the Telugu community. Both Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita’s families are excited about their union, eager to come together and celebrate this new chapter.
