Munawar Faruqui, a well-known stand-up comedian, rapper, and singer, has recently bought a luxurious apartment in Mumbai for Rs. 6.09 crore. This new home is located in a high-rise building in the upscale neighborhood of New Cuffe Parade, Wadala. The information about the purchase was confirmed by property documents reviewed by Square Yards.

Wadala has become a popular area for real estate, mainly because of its great location and easy access to Mumbai’s financial hub, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This area offers a mix of residential and commercial properties, making it a favorite among celebrities and corporate buyers alike.

Faruqui’s new apartment is in a premium project called Lodha Aura, which is currently under construction. The building, developed by Macrotech Developers Limited (part of the Lodha Group), consists of 40 stories and features luxurious 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments. The project is designed to provide high-end amenities and a comfortable living experience. Faruqui purchased his apartment directly from the developer, making it a primary market transaction.

The apartment has a spacious area of 164.25 square meters, which is about 1,768 square feet. It also includes three dedicated parking spaces, which is a great advantage in a busy city like Mumbai. The transaction was completed in September 2024 and included a stamp duty of Rs. 36.6 lakh and a registration fee of Rs. 30,000.

Munawar Faruqui has gained significant fame in India’s entertainment industry. He is well-known for his clever and humorous stand-up comedy performances. He started gaining a large following on YouTube with videos like “Dawood, Yamraaj & Aurat” in 2020 and “Ghost Story” in 2021. These videos showcased his unique style of storytelling and humor, which resonated with many viewers.

In addition to his comedy career, Faruqui has ventured into music. He released a song called “Jawab,” in collaboration with Spectra, which further boosted his popularity. His big break came when he won the reality show Lock Upp in 2022, hosted by Kangana Ranaut. This victory helped him gain a wider audience and solidify his place in the entertainment world.

In early 2024, he participated in Bigg Boss 17, a popular reality show hosted by Salman Khan, where he continued to win the hearts of many fans. His charm and personality have made him a beloved figure among young audiences, and his rise to fame has been quite remarkable.
