Maroon 5 had an unforgettable concert during their first visit to India. The Grammy-winning American pop-rock band performed in Mumbai at the Mahalaxmi Race Course on Tuesday, where they made a lasting impact on their fans.
The show was filled with excitement and emotion. During the concert, Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, sat on the stage and looked out into the crowd. He wanted to invite a lucky fan up on stage, and when a young girl approached him holding a bouquet, he invited her to join him.
The girl was visibly emotional, tears streaming down her face as she hugged Adam. Adam kindly asked her what her name was, and she replied, “Suman.” Overcome with emotion, Suman told Adam, “I love all your songs. You've been the journey of my life. Thank you so much.” In response, Adam gave her another warm hug, and the crowd cheered and clapped for the touching moment.
The band’s visit to India was historic, marking the first time they performed there. Maroon 5, originally formed in 1994 under the name Kara's Flowers, has since become one of the most successful pop-rock bands in the world. Their debut album, Songs About Jane, earned them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. The current members of the band include Adam Levine (vocals), Jesse Carmichael (keyboard), James Valentine (guitar), Matt Flynn (drums), PJ Morton (keyboard), and Sam Farrar (bass).

The band’s official Instagram shared many fan videos and photos from the Mumbai concert. These posts showed the huge crowd of fans, the heavy traffic leading to the venue, and even aerial shots of the event. One video featured a young child at home enjoying Maroon 5’s hit song Animals, with a funny caption that read, “Alas, wish there was no age limit for @maroon5's Mumbai concert today (laughing with tears emoji).” It was clear that Maroon 5’s music had a wide-reaching impact, touching fans of all ages.
During the performance, Adam Levine spoke to the Mumbai audience, expressing his love for India. He said, “We have been a band for a very long time, perhaps way before most of you were born. We have traveled all over the world, but this is our first time in India, and we are in love with this place. This is, inarguably, the best ever audience we’ve got.”
He also apologized for starting the show late but promised the crowd they would return soon and perform for two nights.
The concert was a special moment for both the band and the fans, with Maroon 5 leaving an unforgettable mark on Mumbai.
