KL Rahul reveals story behind daughter name

KL Rahul, the well-known Delhi Capitals batsman Rahul recently revealed the origin of his daughter's name, "Evaarah," saying he came upon it while doing an internet search.

Rahul acknowledged that it took a little more convincing to convince his wife, actress Athiya Shetty, to support the decision, even though he was immediately drawn to its meaning.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, who tied the knot in a private ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse on January 23, 2023, introduced their baby girl to the world with a special post on Rahul's birthday last month, marking a significant milestone for the couple.

Since Athiya's heartfelt Instagram post announcing the arrival of their daughter in March, the couple has been ecstatic about their new role as parents.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, when it came to naming their child, KL Rahul disclosed that he and Athiya first looked through a few name books that friends and family had sent, but it wasn't until he Googled the name "Evaarah" that he felt a connection right away.

The meaning of the name appealed to Rahul, and he was able to persuade Athiya of this after some initial resistance. Rahul claims that the choice of name delighted both of their families and that it soon became the ideal fit for their daughter.

Athiya Shetty, meanwhile, has expressed the pure joy she felt after becoming a mother. In a heartfelt post, her father, Suniel Shetty, who recently became a grandfather, described the experience of holding his granddaughter for the first time as "a happiness that’s pure and untouched by anything the world can give or take away."

Athiya talked about her relationship with Rahul in a previous interview with Cosmopolitan, stating that their opposing personalities make their partnership ideal. She revealed that their connection was based on their shared values, despite their differences. Athiya also disclosed that she finds something very unique about their relationship: Rahul's natural capacity to comprehend her, even when she finds it difficult to communicate her emotions.
