The Telugu movie Kannappa kicked off at the box office on a strong note. The film, starring Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal in pivotal roles, earned well in the first three days but saw a drastic dip at the box office on its first Monday.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, Kannappa collected Rs 2.50 crore net in India on its fourth day for all languages with an overall 11.38% Tamil occupancy. The total box office collection of Kannappa now stands at Rs 25.90 crore net in India.
However, Kannappa opened in the theatres with decent numbers, with Rs 9.35 crore net and Rs 11 crore gross on its opening day in India. The film earned Rs 2 crore from overseas and managed to earn Rs 13 crore worldwide.
The started to see a dip on its second day and earned only Rs 5.94 crore net in India, which took the total collection to Rs 15.29 crore. However, the film notably did well on its first Sunday and added an estimated Rs 7.25 crore, taking the toll to a total of Rs 23.75 crore net in India. The film now seems to struggle to surpass even the Rs 30 crore mark.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa revolves around a sceptical hunter who attains divine enlightenment through Lord Shiva, undergoing a profound transformation into his ardent disciple.
Vishnu plays the titular role of Thinnadu (Kannappa), the fearless warrior-turned-devotee who transformed into the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva. Mohanlal will star as Kirata and Prabhas as Rudra. Meanwhile, Akshay portrays Lord Shiva.
