Tamil film Dude starring Pradeep Ranganathan has finally hit the screens today and fans are super excited about this film. Teenagers and young adults will adore Dude because it contains a lot of action, funny parts, and emotional parts. It's been a long time since Pradeep Ranganathan made a movie.
The first part of Dude is funny and has characters that are interesting to watch. But the second half is incredibly uninteresting and doesn't have anything interesting to say.
Story:
The movie is about how hard it is for Gagan to get along with Mamitha, played by Mamitha Baiju. Pradeep Ranganathan plays Gagan. Hridhu Haroon is the man that Mamitha loves, but she has to marry Gagan since it's what she needs to do. The story is about the emotional and practical problems that come up as the two strive to fix their dysfunctional marriage, which is full of fights, misunderstandings, and attempts to make up. The movie is largely on how love and compromise change their path together.
Performances and analysis:
Pradeep Ranganathan is excited about the role. He can quickly and easily change how he feels, whether he's making fun of himself in a funny way, having a lively conversation, or acting out a short emotional scene. You can tell how great he is in the first section of the movie, which is really amusing and fun.
Some individuals might not like how he dubs Telugu or how he acts because they think he sounds like Dhanush. Mamitha Baiju's exquisite and well-measured performance goes well with Pradeep's intensity. Her role fits well with the story's emotional journey, and she and Harry have terrific chemistry on screen. This is another great movie for her to add to her list.
What works?
Written and directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude, starts out really well. The first half is like a joyful romantic comedy with humorous conversations, situations that everyone can relate to, and some sad portions. There are a lot of funny jokes and some really outstanding scenes that retain the audience's attention.
The segment before the interval does a great job of getting people ready for what's coming next. The plot is much better with Sarath Kumar's character. One of the best things about the first half of the movie is his acting. It gives the movie more life and helps it keep going with its funny timing.
Sarath Kumar is the best among the supporting actors. He is quite captivating on screen and has great timing in the early sequences, which are humorous and memorable.
It's sad that they didn't use his character more in the next chapters; it's a missed opportunity. Hridhu Haroon does a wonderful job in a significant supporting role without making a huge deal out of it.
What does not?
But the second half doesn't do what the first half suggested it would. The story gets boring, follows a pattern, and doesn't make you feel much. The tension that built up in the first half goes away, and the things that follow after that seem contrived and happen too often.
The funny parts don't work anymore, and the emotional parts don't work either. Once the story loses its focus, the movie has a hard time getting back on track. It looks that filmmaker Keerthiswaran missed an opportunity to expand on the first half's power, which makes the second half seem dull and predictable.
Technicalities:
In some ways, Dude is better than the rest. You won't recall Sai Abhyankkar's song, but it's an excellent one.
On the other hand, the background music goes nicely with the story and makes the movie's ambiance even better. Cinematographer Niketh Bommi did a great job of making the movie look young and exciting by capturing the lively setting. Barath Vikraman could have done a better job of editing, especially when it came to cutting out the sluggish parts of the second half. Mythri Movie Makers did a great job with Dude, which makes the lighthearted story even better.
Dude is at its best when it doesn't try too hard. The first half is fun since there are a lot of intriguing things going on and great performances. The second half, on the other hand, isn't as interesting or innovative. The writing isn't very good, and the ending isn't very interesting, so the movie isn't very nice. But Pradeep Ranganathan's performance is full of life, and Sarath Kumar is fun to see.
Verdict:
Dude is a good movie to see once, but it doesn't keep your attention. People want more since the beginning of the movie is fun, but the finish is boring and predictable.
