Paris Jackson has reportedly received $65 million in benefits from her late father Michael Jackson's estate.
According to a recent court document obtained by People, the executors of Michael's estate revealed the enormous sum in a court filing on October 9 after Paris claimed in June documents that she was "concerned" about payments being made by her father's estate.
The outlet also revealed that Michael’s estate executors have hit back in the new filing. The new documents allege, “Few have benefited more from the Executors’ business judgment than Petitioner herself, who has received roughly $65 million from the Estate in benefits.”
The filing added, “She would have never received that had the Executors followed a typical playbook for an estate like this one in July 2009.”
The executors also took pride in making the late pop king's estate profitable.
The filing claimed, “The Executors’ business judgment has taken an estate that ‘started out as nothing but debt and substantial ongoing obligations’ and ‘turned [it] into a $2 billion estate’ — an estate that is now ‘a powerhouse and a force in the music business today.’”
Meanwhile, Paris cited the executors' request for approval to pay $625,000 to three law firms in 2018 in her June filing.
The court documents claimed, “These payments appear, at least in part, to consist of lavish gratuities bestowed upon already well-compensated counsel.”
Meanwhile, amidst the legal battle between Paris Jackson and the executors of her father's estate, the model and her aunt Janet Jackson recently reunited at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
