HBO has recently unveiled the Weasleys for its new Harry Potter reboot. The network has officially announced the cast who will play the popular Weasley siblings.
Tristan Harland will portray Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland plays George, Ruari Spooner will play Percy, and Gracie Cochrane has been cast as Ginny. They are joining Alastair Stout, who was already announced to play Ron.
Announcing the cast members, HBO Max penned in the caption of the Instagram post, "The Burrow is nearly full. Joining our very own Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, we warmly welcome Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter. (Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough...)."
Outside the Burrow, HBO has loaded up the show with big-name talent. Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape, John Lithgow is assuming the role of Dumbledore, Janet McTeer will play Professor McGonagall, and Nick Frost will add his own twist to Hagrid. With that talent roster, the bar is already set very high.
The series is being written and executive-produced by Francesca Gardiner. Succession's Mark Mylod is set to direct several episodes as well as act as executive producer.

HBO will be collaborating with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The executive producers also consist of J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman of Heyday Films, producers of the original film franchise.
The series was originally teased to premiere sometime in 2026 on HBO Max. However, the studio has now confirmed it will release in 2027.
