BTS' V announces exhibition for upcoming photobook TYPE 1

V's photobook TYPE 1 is scheduled for official release on July 9, with pre-orders starting on July 27.

BTS' V, also known as Kim Taehyung, is set to create a buzz with the release of his highly anticipated photobook, TYPE 1. Fans are eagerly awaiting the intimate moments captured in this photobook, which promises to offer a glimpse into V's solitude and personal space. Adding to the excitement, V has announced an accompanying exhibition titled ARTSPACE: TYPE 1, which will be held in several major cities across the world.

BTS’ official Weverse account published a notice announcing the ARTSPACE: TYPE 1 exhibition. This special event will celebrate the release of V's photobook TYPE 1 and provide fans with an immersive experience of his work. The exhibition will kick off on July 12 at Platform-L Contemporary Art Center in Seoul, running until July 21. Simultaneously, the exhibition will open in Bangkok at EmQuartier, lasting until July 19, and in Taipei at Breeze Nan San, concluding on July 21.

The exhibition will also reach Vancouver, where it will be held at Metropolis at Metrotown from July 12 to July 21. Following this, ARTSPACE: TYPE 1 will move to Edgemar in Los Angeles from July 26 to August 17. The final stop will be Tokyo, Japan, at the 9th SY Building from August 21 to August 29.

HYBE, BTS' management company, has shared that the exhibition will center around moments of relaxation, reflecting the main theme of V's photobook TYPE 1. ARTSPACE: TYPE 1 will feature various zones, each designed to mirror the flow of the photobook's chapters. These zones will provide fans with an intimate look at V’s relaxed moments, allowing them to experience the artist's unique style up close.

The exhibition promises an extraordinary experience for ARMYs, the official fandom of BTS, by offering an in-depth look at V's creative process and personal space. The immersive nature of the exhibition will undoubtedly make it a memorable event for fans around the world.

The 224-page photobook captures V's relaxed moments in his comfort space, providing a personal and candid look at the artist. Previews have already given fans a glimpse into his world, showcasing V's handsome and charming looks in teaser images that have captivated hearts.

TYPE 1 will be available in two versions: a photobook and a magazine. Both versions aim to highlight different aspects of V’s personality and style.
