Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited action drama OG is gearing up for a grand release on September 25, with advance bookings already creating a wave of excitement across Telugu states. The film, directed by Sujeeth and produced on a lavish scale, was expected to set new records at the box office with its massive fan following and hype. However, a sudden legal twist has now cast uncertainty over its ticket pricing strategy.

The Telangana High Court has refused to allow the ticket rate hike approved by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government. The decision came after a petition filed by Mahesh Yadav, who challenged the government order that sanctioned higher ticket prices exclusively for OG. Acting on the plea, the High Court suspended the government’s notification, leading to confusion among both exhibitors and moviegoers. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 9.

As per the now-suspended order, ticket rates were fixed at Rs. 800 for premieres, while normal shows were priced at Rs. 277 in single screens and Rs. 445 in multiplexes. These figures had already been rolled out for advance bookings, and fans quickly rushed to secure their tickets at the announced rates.

The pressing question now is how theaters will implement the court’s suspension when thousands of tickets have already been sold under the government-approved structure. Industry observers believe the situation could lead to refunds, pricing revisions, or even temporary disruptions in screenings unless a clear directive is issued.

For Pawan Kalyan fans, the timing of this development is frustrating. The buzz around OG has been extraordinary, with expectations of a record-breaking opening weekend. Now, the pricing dilemma threatens to overshadow the film’s much-anticipated debut.

Despite the setback, the frenzy around OG remains high. Pawan Kalyan’s return to the big screen has generated unprecedented anticipation, and trade experts still predict strong collections. Whether the legal hurdle dents its momentum or adds more curiosity to its opening remains to be seen. Fans will be watching closely as the story unfolds, both on screen and in court.
