Singer Arijit Singh recently made headlines during his UK concert tour when a fan requested him to sing Aar Kobe, a song that has become an anthem for protests related to the Kolkata rape case.
The request seemed to irritate the singer, and he firmly responded that the concert was not the right venue for such a song.
In a video circulating from the event, Arijit is seen addressing the fan and explaining his stance. He said, "They have come to here listen to me not for Protest. People are here to hear my music not to protest. This is not the right place to say. If you wish, there are many Bengalis here, go to Kolkata and get on the road!"

The singer’s response stirred mixed reactions, with some supporting his decision to keep the focus on music while others wished for more solidarity with the cause.
This isn’t the first time Arijit has faced an unusual interaction during his concerts. Earlier this week, a video surfaced showing a fan placing food on the stage while he performed the title track of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Arijit quickly noticed the food, apologized to the fan, and handed it to his security team, stating, "I’m sorry, this is my temple. You can’t put food here."

In addition to these moments, Arijit’s international tour has been a huge success. One of the highlights was when acclaimed singer Ed Sheeran joined him on stage.
The duo performed Ed’s hit song Perfect, and videos from the concert quickly went viral. Arijit later shared a heartfelt post on social media, thanking Ed for making the concert even more memorable.
