Shoaib Ibrahim shares update on wife Dipika Kakar

Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim has recently provided an update on his wife and fellow actor Dipika Kakar's health. Shoaib recently started a Q&A session on Instagram and responded to fans’ queries.

One fan asked for an update on Dipika’s health, to which Shoaib stated that they are eagerly awaiting the results of her most recent blood test. He also offered a glimpse into their regular hospital visits.

Shoaib took to his Instagram story and said in a video, “We went to the hospital for blood samples just yesterday. It’s like we have to go every three months, then every two months. Now the reports will come tomorrow.”

Shoaib further noted that the waiting time before each report is especially stressful. He elaborated, “It is this time that scares us. I hope, by God’s grace, everything turns out to be fine.”

For the unversed, Dipika Kakar has been fighting stage 2 liver cancer for the past few months. As part of her continued treatment, the actress had surgery in June 2025 to remove a tumour.

Dipika has been sharing her experiences with chemotherapy, her emotional highs and lows, and her slow progress toward recovery on her YouTube channel. In order to keep fans engaged and informed, she and Shoaib both frequently post updates on their individual vlogs.

Dipika revealed a few weeks ago that her two-year-old son Ruhaan had given her a serious viral infection. She clarified in one of her videos that the infection was more difficult for her to recover from because her immunity had been compromised by ongoing cancer treatments.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim met while filming the TV serial, Sasural Simar Ka, in 2011. Dipika was already married to Raunak Samson at the time. Dipika started dating Shoaib soon after she got divorced from Raunak in 2015. Dipika and Shoaib tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their son, Ruhaan, in 2023.
