CSAB Seat Allotment Result 2024

CSAB Counselling 2024: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will release the seat allotment results for Round-I of the CSAB 2024 counselling process today, August 05. Candidates who participated in the web-based counselling for admission to NITs, IIESTs, IIITs, SPAs, and other GFTIs for the 2023-24 academic year can now check their results on the official CSAB website: csab.nic.in.

Seat allotment in Round-I is based on a candidate's rank in JEE Main 2024 and/or JEE Advanced 2024 (if applicable). Only candidates who participated in the CSAB Round-I counselling and filled their choice preferences will be considered for seat allocation.

Important Dates and Options

Result Release Date: August 5, 2024

Option Exercise Deadline: August 7, 2024 (5 PM)

Once you receive your seat allotment, you have several options to consider:

Freeze: If you are satisfied with the allocated seat, you can choose the "Freeze" option, indicating your acceptance of the seat and program.

Slide: If you are happy with the institute but not the program, you can opt for "Slide." This allows you to consider a different program within the same institute, subject to availability.

Float: This option is for candidates who are not satisfied with either the institute or program allocated. Choosing "Float" allows you to be considered for a better seat in subsequent rounds of counselling (if applicable).

Online Reporting

Regardless of your chosen option (Freeze, Slide, or Float), online reporting is mandatory. Online reporting includes fee payment and document upload. The deadline for online reporting is August 7, 2024 (5 PM).

Important Note: Candidates who are allocated their top choice in Round-I can only exercise the "Freeze" option. If they don't choose Freeze by the deadline, their seat will be considered rejected and made available for other candidates.

How to Check Your CSAB Round-I Seat Allotment Result

Step 1. Visit the CSAB website: https://csab.nic.in/
Step 2. Look for the link "Seat Allotment – CSAB Round-I Counselling" and click on it.
Step 3. Enter your registration number and password and click "Submit."
Step 4. Your seat allotment result will be displayed on the screen.
