Kaish Khan, the party’s former treasurer, was the subject of an official directive issued by Kannauj district authorities on July 28. The order explicitly prohibited him from remaining within the district's jurisdictional boundaries.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Kotwali police station conducted a search of Khan’s residence. As detailed in the Times of India report, they eventually located the politician concealed in a loft and wrapped in a matress, demonstrating what officials described as a calculated attempt to evade detection.
The banishment order was enacted as a legal enforcement measure through official administrative channels. Khan’s arrest confirms a clear breach of this directive, which mandated his departure from the area.
TOI further reported that the period of violation extended over several weeks, indicating a sustained and deliberate effort to circumvent the legal restrictions placed on his movements.
