Samsung has announced the winners of the ninth edition of its flagship campus program, Samsung E.D.G.E. Team RSP from XLRI Jamshedpur has won this program among all academic institutions. The program saw participation from over 15,000 students across 40 academic institutions, focusing on innovative solutions for consumer engagement and business challenges.
The winning team proposed a strategy involving geo-targeting, GenZ hotspot tagging, brand mascots, and mall activations to enhance consumer engagement. The team members, Pranjali Bhatia, Siddhartha Dwivedi, and Rohan Bhardwaj, were awarded Rs 450,000, flagship Galaxy smartphones, and pre-placement offers from Samsung.
Team Chevy67, also from XLRI Jamshedpur, secured the first runners-up position with a plan to boost smart home ecosystem adoption. Their proposal streamlined global user experiences, earning the team members—Apurvaa Mittal, Chayan Banerjee, and Shubham Tripathy—INR 300,000 in cash prizes.
The second runners-up, Team Pheonix from IIFT Calcutta, introduced ideas including “Spin to Win” Smart QR Codes and sustainable retail designs aimed at strengthening brand engagement. Team members Varun Goyal, Umang Jain, and Saksham Jain were awarded INR 150,000.
This year’s program began with 5,713 teams registering, out of which 1,432 teams advanced to the Campus Round, where they presented executive case summaries. The top 59 teams progressed to the Regional Round, leading to eight finalists at the National Round. Finalists received personalized mentorship from Samsung leaders before presenting their solutions.
The event, held in Gurugram, was attended by JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, along with senior Samsung India leaders. Samsung E.D.G.E., which started in 2016, aims to foster innovation and provide students with career opportunities.
