CES 2025: HP introduces new Elitebook series, Z2 mini and other AI powered workstations

CES 2025, the biggest tech event of the year, is currently underway. The laptop companies such as HP, MSI, Dell among others have announced their new lineup of laptops and AI-powered workstations. HP has announced a new Elitebook series and Z2 mini workstations for working professionals.

HP Elitebook series

HP has introduced AI powered Elitebooks including the EliteBook Ultra G1i, EliteBook X G1i, and EliteBook X Flip G1i, which are aimed at enhancing productivity for professionals. The laptops are equipped with AI-powered processors. The faster chip inside the laptops helps in multitasking, creating content, even personalising emails etc. Some of the key features of the devices include 9MP AI-powered camera, built-in recording studio, and sharp 3K OLED display for better viewing experience. The HP EliteBook X Flip caters to various work styles. For safety and data protection, the laptops rely heavily on the HP Wolf Security. Other than that, there are a couple of AI tools which can be used to personalize settings and even document summaries and more.

HP Z2 mini, Zbook ultra

HP has also introduced high-performance devices which it has developed in collaboration with AMD. The devices include the ZBook Ultra G1a and Z2 Mini HP calls the ZBook Ultra G1a, the world’s fastest 14-inch mobile workstation. It comes with the AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO processors, with up to 16 CPU cores, and 128GB memory.The device allows multitasking and AI-enhanced privacy in a sleek, portable design. The Z2 Mini G1a, the world’s most powerful mini workstation as per the company. The workstation is best suited for graphics-intensive work, comes with scalable memory and compact form factor.

Pricing and availability

–HP EliteBook Ultra G1i was launched at a starting price of $2,019 in the US.
–HP EliteBook X G1 was launched at a starting price of $1,999 in the US.
–HP EliteBook X Flip G1i was launched at a starting price of $2,249.
–HP ZBook Ultra G1a will be launched in spring 2025. Prices to be announced later.
–HP Z2 Mini G1a will be launched in spring 2025. Prices to be announced later.
