India men's ODI captain Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying time with his family. Having already retired from Test and T20Is cricket, Rohit's was last seen in action at IPL 2025. Rohit managed to muster 418 runs from 15 matches as he was mostly operated as an Impact Player by the Mumbai Indians franchise, which finished fourth in the ten-team competition.

With him being on a break as India's next ODI assignments are only lined up in October, the premier batter took part in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai. He was spotted seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha, and his presence was enough to spark loud "Mumbai cha Raja Rohit Sharma" chants from fans.

Rohit then requested fans to refrain from doing it, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

Rohit, who has over 11,000 ODI runs, last donned the Indian colours at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he led the country to its second ICC title under his captaincy. It was the third time India won the elite ICC competition.

Rohit was also named Player of the Match for his 76-run performance in the Champions Trophy 2025 final match against old nemesis New Zealand.
