Following Monday's IPL 2025 encounter against the Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rohit Sharma, the opening batsman for the Mumbai Indians, was amusingly spotted mimicking Shreyas Iyer. The two players were seen interacting amicably in a video that the Mumbai Indians posted on their official social media account.

Punjab chased down the target with nine balls to spare after a disciplined bowling effort limited the five-time winners to 184/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Captain Shreyas Iyer hit the winning runs as Priyansh Arya (63) and Josh Inglis (73) led the run chase with a 109-run stand.

Despite the fact that the league phase's last game has not yet been played, Punjab will finish in the top two regardless of the outcome of the match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Watch Rohit's attempt to mimic Shreyas in the video:

Iyer praised the players for stepping up when they were in a tight spot and the support team for handling players well throughout the tournament during the post-game presentation. The right-hander went on to explain: "Every individual stepped up at the right time. Starting from game one, we've been in the mindset of wanting to win despite the situation. We've had players putting their hands up when we were in the dumps. Kudos to support staff and management too. Ricky has been fantastic with player management, it's important for me to get trust too. That happened with the wins early on. Had conversations with them too. You have to maintain good relationships throughout. I feel the dressing room has been top notch throughout."
