Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta says her kids are her priority, says  'never imagined, being a mother would change me so much'

On Mother’s Day, Preity Zinta emphasized the role mothers play: 'It’s really a job where there are no promotions, no time off & very little gratitude. If you are lucky, they will appreciate you when you are older when they become parents otherwise it’s all about giving, loving & nurturing without any expectations.'

Preity Zinta welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy in 2021 with her husband Gene Goodenough.

Preity Zinta, the co-owner of Punjab Kings and a celebrated actress, recently opened up about her transformation into motherhood and the joys it has brought into her life.

Having welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy in 2021 with her husband Gene Goodenough, Preity Zinta shared a touching montage of photos with her children on Mother's Day, celebrating her new role and expressing deep gratitude towards her own mother and mother-in-law.

Reflecting on her experience, Preity Zinta remarked how becoming a mother reshaped her priorities and worldview.

“I never thought becoming a mother would change me so much. If someone had told me three years ago that I’d constantly prioritise someone else over myself, I would have laughed it off. I could never have imagined, being a mother would change me so much,” she shared. Her candid reflection highlights the selfless nature of parenthood, acknowledging that her children always come first—not because she has to, but because she wants to.

“The happiness & pure joy I feel looking at them lights up my darkest days and I feel superhuman strength when I need to protect them. I’m sure I’m not the only mother who feels like this. Sadly, we only start appreciating our mothers when we step into that role,” Preity added. This statement underscores the profound appreciation she has gained for all mothers, emphasizing the often under-recognized labor and love involved in mothering.

On Mother’s Day, a day dedicated globally to honoring mothers, Preity emphasized the unique and pivotal role mothers play. “It’s really a job where there are no promotions, no time off & very little gratitude. If you are lucky they will appreciate you when you are older when they become parents otherwise it’s all about giving, loving & nurturing without any expectations.” Her message is a powerful reminder of the unconditional nature of maternal love and the sacrifices involved.

Wrapping up her heartfelt message, Preity encouraged everyone to cherish their mothers, "So give your moms a BIG HUG & say THANK YOU YOU LOVE THEM & APPRECIATE THEM cuz mom’s are the closest thing to God.” This sentiment beautifully captures the reverence and profound respect she holds for all mothers, positioning them as almost sacred in the selflessness and love they embody.

On the professional front, Preity will next be seen in 'Lahore 1947,' a historical drama produced under Aamir Khan Productions and starring Sunny Deol alongside her. This project marks another significant chapter in her illustrious career, balancing her professional endeavors with her personal life as a new mother.
