Actor Kareena Kapoor has always been candid about motherhood, and this time, it’s her son Taimur Ali Khan who’s stealing attention.

In a new podcast with Soha Ali Khan, Kareena revealed that unlike his star-studded family, Taimur has no fascination for acting or films — instead, he’s a sports buff.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, both known for their versatile film choices, have two sons — Taimur and Jehangir Ali Khan. While fans often assume the kids might one day follow in their parents’ footsteps, Kareena was quick to set the record straight.

“Tim has no interest in drama or acting”

In the podcast, Kareena Kapoor said, “Tim has no interest in drama or acting. Every time he had to choose an extra-curricular activity at school, I would read out the list and ask him, ‘Do you want to do drama this year?’ He’d say, ‘No.’ I’d ask, ‘Why not? Just try acting?’ And he’d go, ‘No, I don’t enjoy it.’ So I didn’t push it.”

The actor mentioned that Taimur is still exploring what he likes but clearly isn’t drawn toward the entertainment world. Instead, his curiosity lies in something quite different — sports.

“Are you friends with Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli?”

Kareena Kapoor shared that her son is often curious about sportspersons, not actors. “He once told me he wanted to join a cookery class because his father enjoys cooking. He’s never really met other actors. He keeps asking, ‘Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? With Virat Kohli? Can you message him and ask for his bat? Do you have Lionel Messi’s contact?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I don’t have these contacts.’”

Laughing about it, she added, “He has no clue about actors. He’ll ask, ‘Can I ask this question to Virat?’ and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t know him, you can’t just message him!’”

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s family life

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan tied the knot in 2012 after dating for a brief period. The couple welcomed Taimur in December 2016 and Jehangir in February 2021. Despite their stardom, both are hands-on parents and are often spotted cheering for their children at school events.

While fans adore the kids’ rare public appearances, the couple has recently urged paparazzi to give them privacy — especially after an incident involving an intruder at their residence earlier this year.

Looks like Taimur Ali Khan is carving his own identity — far away from lights, camera, and action — with cricket bats and footballs instead.
